When re-glazing is either not possible or not opted for by yourselves we can apply a secure plywood board either temporarily or permanently over the broken panel for your property’s protection until a re-glaze is either possible or desired by yourself. Do you have a double glazed and single glazed window with a lead pattern? Our glaziers can apply decoration-lead in a square or diagonal pattern on to the window or even install Georgian bars so they are inside double glazed units or applied to the outside of the glass.
Our proficiency is not just limited to decra-lead for modern windows; we also have specialist skills in old fashioned, leaded frame windows. Depending on the nature of the problem we can repair the damaged lead, replace the individual panes inside the lead or replace the entire lead and glass for you.
In the event you have a polycarbonate or Perspex pane needing replacement this is also within the field of our services. We can provide it in either clear or obscured Perspex of differing thickness, the choice is yours to make.
Have a sash window problem? We can replace the broken sash window panes, replace the sash cords if they are at fault, we can rehang the windows if they ever become difficult to close or we can completely replace the windows if a full replacement is required.
Our glaziers aim to replace the glass as quickly as possible whilst providing an excellent service. Upon arrival the glazier will determine the accurate measurements and specification of the glass you require and will install a British Standard quality replacement. We aim to fit single glazed glass panes the same day however certain types of glass (e.g. patterned door panels) and double glazed units require ordering and fitting after being created. We can fit glass with a wide variance in size, specification and location of fitting and it is often fitted from the outside; ladders, scaffolding or cherry pickers are used to ensure the glass is fitted correctly if it is on higher levels.
